All of The Petal Peddler’s Shop’s creations are made-to-order and customized for each client. Choose from the paper available in The Shop’s inventory including classical sheet music, over 35 book titles, custom printed paper - or provide your own paper to be transformed into treasured keepsake roses!
The Process
All of the flowers created by The Petal Peddler’s Shop are 100% handmade. No machines, templates or punches are used, allowing the artist to carefully select the elements of the paper to be showcased. Even flowers smaller than half an inch are cut with scissors, glued, and have the petals carefully folded by hand.
The books and sheet music used in The Shop’s artwork were tremendously loved prior to being transformed into roses. The artwork gives the paper a new life and allow its beauty to be appreciated in a new way.
The Artist
Artist/Owner Allegra Murray has handcrafted over 1,000 roses since opening The Shop in 2018. She loves reading, music, and traveling which translates to the paper used in her artwork. In 2017, Allegra helped organize the library’s Jane Austen Tea event and made roses from book pages as centerpieces. The flowers were so well received that she decided to open The Petal Peddler’s Shop.
